Prishtina, 25 June 2023, dtt-net.com – A mother and a 5-year-old child are found dead last night after midnight as floods hit their house in Kosovo western town of Peja, authorities said.
Heavy rainfalls in the area in recent days have caused rivers go out of their bed hitting several suburbs in the town.
Another two were injured according to authorities in Peja, due to waters reaching habitable areas.
Kosovo Security Force (KSF) were deployed today in the town to help inhabitants cope with the situation following damages to infrastructure, roads, electricity and potable water system.
