Prishtina/Brussels, 21 December 2023, dtt-net.com – The EU mediator of Kosovo-Serbia negotiations today said that the October proposed controversial statute for what is named ‘Association of Serb-majority Municipalities (ASM) doesn’t need to be signed by both sides, a demand which Kosovan Prime Minister Albin Kurti continues making while Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic continues to refuse as well as February ‘basic agreement’ and its March Implementation Annex.
Miroslav Lajcak told Kosovan news website GazetaExpress that the ASM statute is an ‘internal document of Kosovo” and not a international agreement, despite the fact that the text is being negotiated by the two neighbouring countries.
