Belgrade, 16 March 2023, dtt-net.com – The European Union and Serbia agreed today to launch talks for a new deal on operational activities to be carried out by the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex) to allow joint operations to be organised and Frontex border management teams to be deployed in Serbia, amid increased waves of illegal migration through the country and Western Balkans region trying to reach European bloc’s territory.
