Podgorica, 30 July 2025, dtt-net.com – The President of Montenegro today criticized ruling parties of proposed changes on the law on protests, accusing them of aiming to pass the text which “declares any civil protest a threat in advance”.
The criticism of Jakov Milatovic follows the call by the Council of Europe (CoE) Commissioner for Human Rights, Michael O’Flaherty, not adopt changes proposed by the parliamentary majority that “excessively restrict freedom of peaceful assembly”.
