Tirana, 08 August 2025, dtt-net.com – Albanian prosecution said today it charged total 16 local nationals, of which 7 arrested already, of a criminal gang involved in smuggling total 28 tons of cocaine from Paraguay to EU countries during 2020-2021 period.
The special prosecution, SPAK, said the group organized smuggling of 11,6 ton of cocaine from Paraguay to Belgium port of Antwerpen in 2020 and then 16,4 ton to German port of Hamburg in 2021, and then laundered the money in Albania of the drug sold in the EU countries.
