Tirana, 25 August 2025, dtt-net.com – The leader of main opposition Democratic Party (PD) of Albania and former prime minister, Sali Berisha, today called for formation of a parliamentary commission which would be tasked to investigate party’s claims of May elections fraud and other irregularities, of which it accuses the Prime Minister Edi Rama and his ruling socialist Party (PS).
Berisha told reporters in a press conference that such a commission is needed, as the special prosecution SPAK has refused to launch investigations despite requested by the party, accusing Rama of having put under control SPAK’s chief-prosecutor not to proceed with the investigations.
