Belgrade/Prishtina, 26 August 2025, dtt-net.com – The new mediator of the European Union, Peter Sorensen, today met with Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic, as both sides continue insisting on formation of autonomous body for Kosovan Serb minority following unsigned deal of 2023, and which majority of Albanians fear it would be in detriment of Kosovo state with consequences similar to Bosnia system of divisions on ethnic basis.
The meeting in Belgrade took place after visit of Sorensen to Kosovan capital Prishtina earlier this month, as the EU diplomat is trying to convince both sides to resume talks on implementation of the unsigned agreement brokered by the EU with the support of previous USA government of Joe Biden.
