Tirana, 16 September 2025, dtt-net.com – Albania opposition today left the constitutive session of the legislative body following May elections, accusing the ruling Socialist Party of (PS) of imposing changes to the rules of Parliament’s work in breach of the rules and the Constitution through urgent procedure and without debate.
Without presence of opposition lawmakers, the PS lawmakers proceeded with the voting and increased the number of parliamentary committees to eleven from previous eight, including by merging the committees of foreign affairs and of EU integration into one.
