Belgrade, 16 September 2025, dtt-net.com – The Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Serbia’s northern town of Novi Sad today filed an indictment against 13 people, including a former minister of construction, over collapse of train station canopy in the city on November 1, which killed 16 people, including a student.
The prosecution said in the indictment that former minister Goran Vesić and others are charged with endangering ‘general security’ related to the renovation works of the train station which was allowed to be used by the public although renovation works were not completed and there was no licence for it to be in the service at the time of the tragic accident.
