Belgrade, 18 September 2025, dtt-net.com – High Court in Serbia’s northern town of Novi Sad, today rejected a request of prosecution for detention of 13, including a former minister, indicted over collapse of train station canopy in the town on November 1 and which killed 16 people, including a student.
The court decided a 3-month house arrest for all indictees, who are charged with endangering ‘general security’ related to the renovation works of the train station which was allowed to be used by the public although renovation works were not completed and there was no licence for it to be in the service at the time of the tragic accident.
