Albania opposition calls EU prosecutor to investigate government deal with Mogherini over College of Europe Tirana campus

Tirana, 03 December 2025, dtt-net.com – Albanian opposition today called the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) to launch investigation over what it called “secret” agreement between Albanian government and the Europe College campus in capital Tirana, following formal charges filed by the EPPO against college’s Rector in Bruges Federica Mogherini over suspected fraud. The leader of the Democratic Party (PD), Sali Berisha, today accused the Prime Minister Edi Rama of entering a deal with Europe College Rector for construction of Tirana Campus for alleged 17 million Euros at the land which he said initially was foreseen for the public University of Tirana.
