Tirana, 12 March 2026, dtt-net.com - As expected, the Parliament of Albania - dominated by Prime Minister Edi Rama's Socialist Party (SP) - today voted against the request of the Special Prosecution Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) to lift the immunity and arrest of former Prime Minister and former Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku.
Of the 128 deputies present at the session, out of the 140 members of parliament, 82 voted against SPAK's request, 47 for it, and 7 abstained.
