Albania ruling party refuses parliamentary interpellation with charged Deputy PM by the prosecution

Tirana, 06 November 2025, dtt-net.com – Lawmakers of the ruling Socialist Party (PS) of Albania today voted against a request of opposition for an ‘urgent’ interpellation with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of infrastructure and Energy who is charged by the special prosecution of “Violation of equality of participants in tenders or public auctions” over a motorway tunnel in southwest of the country. 50 lawmakers of the PS of the Prime Minister Edi Rama voted against the call of 30 lawmakers of the Democratic Party (PD) who accuse Belinda Balluku and Rama of massive corruption, including over the latest charges against the Deputy PM over the ‘Llogara Tunnel” retendering and award of contract to a Turkish company for a higher cost then the first contract which was annulled.
