Strasbourg, 09 September 2025, dtt-net.com – The European People’s Party (EPP) will in coming days launch a review process of relations with authoritarian President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, and associate membership of Serbia’s ruling party controlled by him, EPP’s leader Manfred Weber announced today, amid ongoing ties of Vucic with Russia and ongoing repression by the state police, he also controls, on protesting students.
“As EPP we are aware about developments there, we see the pictures. The EPP has no blind eye on what is happening in Serbia and that’s why I will as EPP leader initiate a scrutiny process about Vucic and of the party being part of EPP family that will take place in the next days”, Weber told reporters in a press conference.
