Germany calls Kosovo’s next government to commit to EU-mediated talks with Serbia

Prishtina, 07 January 2026, dtt-net.com – Germany’s new ambassador to Prishtina called Kosovo’s next government following last month new elections to commit to the EU-led negotiations aimed at what the western powers call “normalization” of relations with Serbia, amid ongoing stagnation of implementation of the unsigned 2023 agreement focused on formation of controversial autonomous body for Kosovan Serb minority. “From a new government, we need a strong commitment to the EU-led normalization dialogue,” Ambassador Rainer Rudolph said in a text published at daily Koha Ditore.
