Belgrade, 30 December 2025, dtt-net.com – The government of Serbia today adopted a strategy of raw materials for 2025-2040 period, which includes the stalled project of lithium reserves in west of the country and which according to the government is dependent on meeting environmental rules.
“In the event of exploitation (if all conditions set out in the Environmental Impact Assessment Study are met), according to the Feasibility Study, there is a possibility of annual production of 58,000 tons of lithium carbonate, 160,000 tons of boric acid, and 255,000 tons of sodium sulphate,” reads the adopted text by the government .
