Belgrade/Brussels, 18 February 2026, dtt-net.com – For the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic it would be acceptable to give up veto right if the country would become EU member, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) reported, thus joining Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama position over the matter, while Montenegro’s head of government Milojko Spajic is against such option.
“For Serbia, EU membership without veto rights is acceptable. The most important aspect for us is the single market and the free movement of goods, people, and capital,” Vucic was quoted as telling to FAZ.
