Serbia’s top security body meets over ongoing crisis to conclude that situation is “stable”, according to police chief

Belgrade, 19 August 2025, dtt-net.com – The National Security Council of Serbia, met today on the demand of its chairperson, the authoritarian President Aleksandar Vucic, over ongoing widespread protests of students and citizens against him, concluding that the situation is “stable”, according to the police director.

“We concluded that the stability situation in the whole territory stable,” Dragan Vasiljević told public broadcaster RTS today, after the second meeting in two weeks attended also by heads of government, parliament, ministries of defence, interior and justice, intelligence and security agency, army and police.
