Prishtina, 22 August 2025, dtt-net.com – Over 1400 private companies are disconnected already from electricity supply by Turkish-owned distributor company KEDS, amid no new contracts reached, following a new directive being implemented by authorities over open electricity market law which is protested by majority of companies affected citing excessive price offers by the distributors of up to 250% higher.
“On Saturday, approximately 90% of the disconnections were completed, while the rest were completed on Monday. Consequently, the disconnections of all over 1400 electricity metering points were completed on Monday,” KEDS spokesperson Lulzim Krasniqi told dtt-net.com today.
