Skopje, 08 September 2025, dtt-net.com – 16 people are injured in fire in a confectionery factory in North Macedonia, with 11 of them hospitalized but out of life danger, authorities said.
Police said the fire broke Saturday at 18:36 in a confectionery factory and warehouse in eastern municipality of Vinica.
It said Sunday firefighters and police are still at the scene to make sure the fire does not resume.
“A large number of firefighting teams from Vinica and neighbouring cities, as well as police officers, were engaged to extinguish the fire and it was extinguished around 23:00, but due to the danger of it re-igniting, teams are on duty on site,” police said.
