Prishtina, 09 July 2025, dtt-net.com – Five members of Kosovo police force are suspended yesterday after death of a 27-year-old citizen during his arrest in the town of Lipjan two days ago, with the prosecution launching an investigation over the real cause of the death.
A video circulating in the social media suggests that the five police officers used excessive force on the victim during the arrest, which police says was under influence of alcohol.
An opposition party today called for resignation of the outgoing interior minister Xhelal Sveçla over the tragic incident.
