Tirana, 19 June 2025, dtt-net.com – Albanian police said it found and destroyed 6740 cannabis sativa plants in remote areas of three towns today, and arrested several over cultivations of the drug, while also charging several municipal officials for not reporting illegal activity.
It said it destroyed 6000 plants in Shkodra district, as part of ongoing action codenamed “coordinates” against drug cultivation and charged total seven municipal officials of abuse of office and for not reporting drug cultivation by a fugitive.
