Tirana, 08 July 2025, dtt-net.com – An opposition member of the parliament in Albania was released today from prison, after serving two-third of one-year prison term sentence on charges of making public an audio-recording alleging a deal between a brother of a former minister with a drug smuggler which the court says was fake and the lawmaker insists it was a real one.
Ervin Salianji of the Democratic Party (PD) was sentenced in late September. He went to the prison voluntarily and is release today by the decision of the court in Fier town after serving more than eight months.
