Belgrade, 22 September 2025, dtt-net.com – 55430 citizens of Serbia have signed so far a petition launched online three days ago calling country’s authorities to release a student on hunger strike for twelve days already.
The student at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, Bogdan Jovičić, was detained in August on charges related to demolition of premises of the ruling SNS party controlled by authoritarian President Aleksandar Vucic during an anti-President and anti-SNS protest in northern town and his detention was extended for another 30 days with his health deteriorating and transferred to a detention hospital in capital Belgrade as his appeal to extension was rejected by the court.
