Prishtina, 28 January 2026, dtt-net.com – 38 people are sent to 48-hour detention by the prosecutor’s office of Kosovo so far in two municipalities, over election fraud found with the votes for parliament candidates in December early elections, as the prosecution and police continue investigations in other municipalities too while vote recount continues.
The prosecutor’s office of Gjakova region said today that in Malisheva municipality 68 people - election commissioners - have been interviewed, of which 15 are sent to a 48-hour detention, and further decisions are expected on 43 others suspected of election fraud.
