Biggest Serb party in Montenegro decides to remain part of government

Podgorica, 06 February 2026, dtt-net.com – The New Serb Democracy (NSD) of the Speaker of Montenegro Parliament, Andrija Mandic, today decided to continue being party of governing coalition, despite refusal of ruling partners to treat demands of a second Serb party for constitutional and law changes for more rights of Serbs in the country and which quit the government days ago in protest. The party said today that one of the reasons it decided not to quit the government is to prevent eventual return of the opposition Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) to power.
