Brussels/Tirana, 13 February 2026, dtt-net.com – A joint investigation and action by EU’s anti-fraud office (OLAF) and Albania authorities led to uncovering and stopping illegal export of hazardous industrial waste from the port of Durrës.
Following the investigation launched since 2024 a total of 33 people have charged earlier this month by Albainian public prosecutor’s office, of which 20 already detained and another 13 still on the run.
