Return of Serb entity’s powers originating from Dayton deal is the “only formula” for survival of Bosnia, new President threatens too

Sarajevo, 17 February 2026, dtt-net.com - Siniša Karan of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) party today took oath before entity’s parliament and office after early elections of November and same as the former President Milorad Dodik warned that the only way for the country to survive is return of entity’s powers initially given at the 1995 Dayton Agreement. In a press conference he said that the Serb entity “remains on the path of sovereign politics, preserving the Dayton Agreement and defending the constitutional position”, and said that authorities of the entity will launch steps for return of entity’s powers originating from of 1995 Dayton agreement.
