Tirana, 09 March 2026, dtt-net.com – Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama and his ruling Socialist Party (PS) today said they will not lift parliamentary immunity of the indicted and recently dismissed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku.
Balluku is indicted by the Special Prosecutor's Office against Organized Crime (SPAK) of abuse of office and damage to state budget, but Rama and his PS today said that such charges are not sufficient to strip her immunity, arguing that she is not indicted of corruption charges so far.
