Tirana, 14 April 2026, dtt-net.om – At least eleven people, including firefighters, are injured from the fire in a 12-floor residential and business building in capital Tirana.
According to the police director Skender Hita, five firefighters amidst injured also sought medical help over minor burns during their rescue intervention.
Emergency services said that amidst eleven people injured, one woman was hospitalized with burns to about 15 percent of her body, but her life was not in danger.
Army members were also deployed in helping extinguish the fire.
The fire first erupted in the first floor, according to the firefighters who brought under the control the fire and prevented it from spreading to other buildings.
An investigation is launched over the cause of the fire.
