Sarajevo, 23 May 2026, dtt-net.com – The German EU-backed envoy to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Christian Schmidt admitted in an interview with German media that he will be leaving the post in Western Balkans country next month, earlier than planned, because of pressure from Washington officials.
Schmidt has handed resignation earlier this month and will leave the Office of of High Representative (OHR) in Sarajevo next month.
