Prishtina, 19 August 2026, dtt-net.com – An opposition party in Kosovo today called the prosecutor’s office to take action, over what it called, “financial bleeding” caused by the caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti and dozens of his ministers amid posts they are holding in the parliament too, after June 7 elections and nearly 500 related political appointees in their cabinets from Vetevendosje (LVV) party.
The lawmaker of the Alliance for Future of Kosovo (AAK), Burim Ramadani, said the prosecution should act against the breach of the constitution and the law on government by LVV members and their cabinet appointees, who continue refusing to resign from ministerial posts while being certified and sworn in as members of parliament, while according to his calculations only their political appointees cost to Kosovo budget nearly 0,5 million euros per month for their salaries, without calculating relates expenses.
