Belgrade/Brussels, 21 August 2026, dtt-net.com – Serbian government said it has requested help from the European Union to fight ongoing devastating wildfires, with the most difficult situation in the northern area of Deliblato Sands.
The Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić said Serbia has activated the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism, which he said has opened a satellite system for monitoring fires already.
