Belgrade, 17 September 2026, dtt-net.com – Serbian President said he opened today a factory for assembling modern drones made in Israel, as the country continues to boost its military capacities with modern weaponry.
“This morning I was particularly proud of Serbia and its successes. I opened a factory for assembling the most modern Israeli-made drones, which will employ about a hundred workers and produce the most modern equipment, both for the Serbian Army and for the armies of some other countries,” Aleksandar Vucic said through Instagram.
Today he did not mention the name of Israeli company, but in April he did talk about investments of Elbit Systems company for drone production iin Serbia, as that month defence ministries of the two countries signed a “General Security Agreement” for “exchange and mutual protection of classified information in the field of defence”.
