Bosnia recounts ballots in nearly 5% of polling stations following election discrepancies

Sarajevo, 18 October 2026, dtt-net.com - The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has begun reviewing ballots from 246 out of a total of 5,122 polling stations following the October 4 general elections. The recount was ordered after investigations revealed that the number of ballots cast was higher than the actual voter turnout.
