Albania student-led protesters clash with police and opposition too, as chaos in Tirana streets continues

Tirana, 07 November 2026, dtt-net.com – The 24th consecutive violent anti-government protest in Albanian capital Tirana today saw student-led protesters clash with prime minister’s police, but tensions erupted also with the opposition members and their supporters. Today’s protest was called by both sides separately, students and the main opposition Democratic Party (PD) willing to join student-led protesters, but they clashed briefly as students and their supporters did not want PD members in their protest, signalling a mounting lead of students in the uprising against local politicians, Rama’s Socialist Party (PS) and Sali Berisha’s PD. “Rama in jail, Berisha in jail,” was the banner held today again by students and their supporters.
