Tirana, 06 March 2025, dtt-net.com – The government of Albania today decided to launch a one-year ban of Tiktok platform, during which authorities would undertake several measures together with Tiktok company aimed at protecting youngsters from its negative impact on their mental health and behaviour, following the stabbing of a 14-year-old boy in November by another juvenile of the same age which many say was triggered after a quarrel through the platform, while the opposition says that the reason of the decision initiated by the Prime Minister Edi Rama is to cause damage to his political opponents increasing popularity in the platform used by Albanian citizens ahead of May 11 elections.
