Brussels, 22 April 2025, dtt-net.com – On top of regular reforms needed in multiple areas as defined by Copenhagen Criteria, Albania’s EU membership is also dependent on solving ongoing maritime border dispute with Greece and if necessary through a ruling of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), where the two countries have agreed to solve it but still not filed for, the European Commission (EC) recalled Tuesday, as emphasized at the Negotiating Framework of July 2022, when Albania was allowed to open accession talks.
