Albania main opposition party rejects idea of PM and Serbia’s President for partial EU integration

Tirana/Brussels, 03 March 2026, dtt-net.com – The Democratic Party (PD) of Albania today firmly rejected the proposal of Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama and Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic for partial integration of candidate countries in the European Union without vote/veto right, without commissioners and seats in the European Parliament. The PD leader Sali Berisha said that the two leaders are wrong with their proposal for only access to EU’s single market and Schengen area abandoning full membership and needed reforms in rule of law especially.
