Albania opposition blasts EU Commissioner for assessing May elections as “free and fair”

Tirana, 21 November 2025, dtt-net.com – An Albanian opposition lawmaker today expressed strong disagreement over the assessment of May parliamentary elections by the EU Commissioner Marta Kos as “free and fair” and accused her of becoming “spokesperson of corrupted” government of the Prime Minister Edi Rama with such declaration over elections contested by the opposition. “Elections have been free and fair, it’s always good to get some suggestions for improvement and this is good for the European union,” European Commissioner said in a press conference with the Prime Minister Edi Rama in Tirana.
