Albania opposition gears up more and “powerful” anti-government protests

Tirana, 08 December 2025, dtt-net.com – Albanian opposition leader today called his supporters and country’s citizens for what he called “powerful” protests against the Prime Minister Edi Rama and his ruling Socialist Party (PS), as a follow up of recently launched weekly protests of a lower presence in capital Tirana. Sali Berisha of the Democratic Party (PD) today reiterated accusations toward Rama of election fraud, corruption and organized crime, amid recent charges filed by the Special Prosecution of Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) on Rama’s right-hand and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, of wrongdoing related to public procurements in construction sector.
