Australian-British company to sue Serbia government over stalled lithium project, opposition politician says

Belgrade, 04 January 2026, dtt-net.com – An opposition politician in Serbia said today that the Australian-British Rio Tinto company is about to file a lawsuit against Serbian government and seek financial compensation over stalled massive lithium project in west of the country. According to lawmaker of the Party of Freedom and Justice (SSP), Dragan Djilas, the company will file a compensation claim of up to 1,5 billion euros.
