Bosnia to drastically lower diplomatic relations with Serbia in protest to glorification of convicted war criminal

Sarajevo, 07 September 2026, dtt-net.com – The Foreign Affairs Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) announced today that he will withdraw all diplomatic and consulate staff from Serbia’s capital of Belgrade, except Ambassador because it’s not in his power, amid glorification of the war criminal Ratko Mladić by Serbia authorities and today’s military and state funeral. Elmedin Konakovic, announced in a press conference that as of next week he will “reduce the level of relations between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina to the lowest possible level,” accusing Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vučić and his associates of “still keeping alive genocidal ideas”.
