Corruption perceptions in W. Balkans: The lowest in Montenegro, the highest in Serbia, report says

Podgorica, 10 February 2026, dtt-net.com - A new report by the Berlin-based Transparency International (TI) says that of Western Balkans countries, Montenegro is placed best in the list of total 182 countries worldwide when it comes to corruption perceptions in 2025, while the last in the list of six countries with the highest corruption perception in the region is Serbia. TI said in its perception of corruption 2025 report released today, that Montenegro is placed 65th (same as in 2024 report) in worldwide list of 182 countries, followed by Kosovo at 76th place (73rd in 2024), North Macedonia at 84th place (88th in 2024), Albania 91 (80th in 2024), BiH at 109th (114th in 2024) place and Serbia at 116th (105th in 2024).
