Crucial week over future of Russia-owned oil refinery in Serbia

Belgrade, 23 November 2025, dtt-net.com – The next two to three days are crucial over the future of the NIS oil refinery owned in majority by Russian companies, as talks continue for selling shares to third countries companies in order to be exempted from already in force USA sanctions. Sanctions on NIS are being implemented since October 9 after several months of postponement. Thye are part of sanctions imposed since January by Joe Biden’s government on Gazpromneft, as new wave of sanctions on Russia because of military aggression against Ukraine.
