EU lawmaker calls member states to treat Kosovo’s accession application

Brussels/Prishtina, 18 December 2025, dtt-net.com – A member of the European Parliament today called governments of EU member states to end silence on Kosovo’s application for membership made three years ago and process it further. Welcoming the decision of the EU to lift sanctions on Kosovo imposed two years ago amid tensions in Serb-predominantly northern municipalities, MEP Thijs Reuten said the next step of the European bloc should be treating the application filed in December 2022.
