EU Parliament commemorates 30th anniversary of Srebrenica Genocide (Video)

Sarajevo/Strasbourg, dtt-net.com – The European Parliament (EP) today held a commemoration of the Srebrenica Genocide, in the memory of more than 8000 Bosniak boys and men of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) slaughtered by Serb entity forces 30 years ago.

Two survivors of the genocide, Almasa and Almir Salihović, attended the commemoration held during the EP plenary in Strasbourg.

“Dear Almasa and Almir, you remind us that behind every name and number there is a person, there is a family. This house honours you and all survivors just as we continue to keep the memories of victims alive. And in the words of Srebrenica prayer recited every year may mother’s tears become prayers that Srebrenica never happens again,” the President of the EP Roberts Metsola said.
