Brussels, 20 June 2026, dtt-net.com – European countries all together are leading globally in terms of money committed for hydrogen production through electrolysis methodology this year, but at the same time they lag behind China in terms of projects’ production capacities of the clean energy source, according to a new report.
Europe represents 45% of investments, 3,24 USD billion of global 7,2 USD billions respectively committed, but in terms of hydrogen capacity production it represents only 20%.
China represents 60% of production capacities globally, with 25% of global investments, according to the estimates by the International Energy Agency (IEA).
