Tirana/Podgorica, 12 August 2025, dtt-net.com – Heavy and multiple wildfires in Albania and Montenegro today took two lives, a civilian in Albania and a soldier in Montenegro, as authorities helped by neighbouring countries from the EU are fighting wildfires since yesterday.
In Montenegro another soldier is injured during efforts to extinguish wildfires which have spread in multiple areas in the country.
In Albania inhabitants of three villages have been evacuated in central Gramsh municipality.
Evacuations are also reported in areas near Montenegro capital of Podgorica.
