Prishtina, 01 July 2025, dtt-net.com – Kosovan authorities led by the caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti today launched construction of two more bridges on the Iber river, next to the main bridge which divides the northern town of Mitrovica in two, despite suggestions of the EU and other western European capitals not to do so amid fears of tensions with local Serbs.
According to Kurti, one of the bridges will serve for vehicle and pedestrian circulation and the second one only for pedestrian, as the main bridge is closed for vehicles because of objections of local Serbs, Serbia and the EU.
